reminds us of one of many traditions of Uttarakhand that we are gradually forgetting.



In today’s scenario, excellent decorative items are available in the market. But the value of homemade items gives us immense satisfaction and bonding with our traditions.



One such exquisite art is that of making “Sei” where plain flour is used to make “diyas”. These “diyas” are then decorated by making different designs and colouring them.



These desi ghee “diyas” are used during special occasions like marriages, naming & thread ceremonies and also religious occasions.
