Radish with cannabis seeds   पहाड़ी मूली की भांग डाली सब्ज़ी

Every Pahadi relishes this unique dish prepared allround the year…

Pahadi Radish — 3 medium (If pahadi mooli is not available, normal radish could be used)

Cannabis (Bhaang) seeds —  1/2 cup

Turmeric — 1/4 tsp

Green chilies —  2-3

Garlic —  7-9 cloves

Salt —  1 tsp level or according to taste

Refined Oil —  1tsp

Desi Ghee —  3-4 tsp



Heat refined oil.  Add chilies, radish, salt, turmeric and 1/4 cup water.

Cover and cook on slow flame for 5 minutes.

Grind cannabis (bhaang) seeds with little water. Add more water and strain the mixture to remove outer hard covering of seeds.

Now add this extract to the cooked radish and keep stirring till it boils otherwise we won’t get the right consistency of the gravy.

Cook for 10 – 15 minutes.

Fry small pieces of garlic in hot desi ghee and add (tadka) to the gravy.

Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot with any kind of Indian bread.
