Ladakhi students come visiting Uttarakhand लद्दाखी छात्रों को भाया उत्तराखंड

Students from Ladakh come visiting to Uttarakhand, explore Himalayan state’s rich culture and visit beautiful places…


study  group of 20  students from various government schools of Ladakh region of J&K  met Uttarakhand Governor Dr.K.K.Paul at Raj Bhawan this morning.The group consisted  of eleven boys and nine girls. They were here as part of the Sadbhavana Mission under the National Integration Tour (NIT) of Indian army  with the objective of  linking the youth of J&K with the mainstream  and inculcating the spirit of national unity in them.

The Governor met the students and spoke to them about studies, sports and their hobbies and interests in an informal atmosphere. He shook hands with each student and tried to put all of them at ease personally.

The Governor told the  children, who have come for the first time from Ladakh for such a tour,  about the various beautiful places in Ladakh and advised them to visit these sites.  He threw light on the unity in diversity in our country and said the students must imbibe the habit of learning through travelling.

The Governor also spoke to the students about the natural splendour of Devbhumi Uttarakhand and  about its cultural heritage. He invited them to visit  Uttarakhand again and wished them all the best for their future. The group was led by Major Praveen Kumar Parekh of 90 Field Regiment/8 Mountain Division of Northern Command.
